Abstracts for the 2016 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference are due December 18, 2015. The conference is focused upon presenting the most up to date scientific research on the state of the Salish Sea Ecosystem and guidance for future actions to protect and restore the ecosystem. The 2016 conference will be held from April 13-15 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Descriptions of the conference sessions can be found here.
The CHRN has been selected to host a session, Washington State Coastal Resilience Efforts and Collaboration: Combining Science, Planning and Management Expertise through the Coastal Hazards Resilience Network. Presentations in this session should highlight work on topics such as: bluff and shoreline erosion, storm surge, sub-regional sea level rise projections, and multi-objective floodplain management.
