Washington Sea Grant and the Washington State Department of Ecology have announced the publication of the final product associated with the Washington Coastal Resilience Project.

Sea Level Rise and Management Options for Washington’s Shorelines examines trade-offs associated with various coastal management options that are likely to be considered for Washington’s shorelines as sea level rises. Specifically, the resource qualitatively assesses the costs, effectiveness, and social and ecological implications of hard defensive structures, softshore stabilization, accommodation approaches, and retreat and avoidance strategies.

The document can now be found in the Coastal Hazards Resilience Network’s Resilience Resource Library
