Mai Aoki is an Ocean Planner at the Washington State Department of Ecology, where she supports the Marine Spatial Plan for Washington’s Pacific Coast by improving data availability and contributing to policy work that strengthens its implementation.
Prior to this position, Mai worked as an attorney, focusing on environmental litigation. She holds a Juris Doctor degree with a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from Lewis and Clark Law School and a bachelor's degree in biology, specializing in conservation biology, from the University of British Columbia.
