Kurt Baumgarten is the Port of Bellingham Environmental Planner. Since starting with the Port 6 years ago he has been working on various aspects of climate change and resilience as well as habitat restoration. Prior to the Port, Kurt worked for the WA Department of Ecology’s Water Quality Program, Whatcom County Planning and Development Services and the Skagit Conservation District. Kurt holds a BS and MS from Western Washington University College of the Environment.
