Blalock, Jackson
Jackson assists the communities of Pacific County, Grays Harbor County, and western Wahkiakum County to adapt to environmental changes, such as sea level rise, erosion, and habitat shifts. His work focuses on collaborative processes that address today's needs while also anticipating future conditions. Prior to working with PCD, he worked with Washington Sea Grant (University of Washington) to support Pacific coast communities' hazards resilience.
Jackson has a background in landscape architecture (University of Washington) and architecture (Clemson University), along with years assisting grassroots work in southeast Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. He grew up in Shelby, NC, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. In his free time he likes to explore shorelines, forage foods with his family, and play music.
