Resilience and Adaptation Specialist

Chandler Countryman is the Resilience and Adaptation Specialist for Washington Sea Grant and works with communities in Puget Sound coastal area and along Washington’s Pacific coast. Her work involves advancing efforts related to coastal hazards and climate resilience by gathering local knowledge and perspectives, identifying community priorities, and connecting local efforts to funds, technical support, and other resources. She is passionate about protecting coastal environments and supporting the people who live, work, and play in these spaces. Chandler holds a B.S. in Biology and a PhD in Marine Sciences. She also helps coordinate the Coastal Hazards Resilience Network (CHRN).
