Paul Dye is retired after contributing to coastal hazards resilience in leadership roles at Washington Sea Grant and The Nature Conservancy. He joined Sea Grant as its assistant director for outreach in 2016, following a 28-year career in habitat conservation and restoration in the Midwest, South Florida and the Pacific Northwest. While at Sea Grant he led the Washington Coastal Resilience Project, a four-year effort to rapidly create more state capacity for technical support to coastal communities. He formerly represented conservation interests on Washington’s Marine Resources Advisory Council and chaired the Pacific Fishery Management Council’s Ecosystem Advisory Subpanel. He lives in Suquamish, Kitsap County.
