Tsunami Hazards Program Lead, Washington Geological Survey
Daniel Eungard is the Washington Geological Survey Tsunami Hazards Program lead — his primary responsibilities include managing program, maintaining and expanding the geospatial databases for the program, and generating maps and data visualization products. He is a subject matter expert on tsunami science, working with local, state, and federal partners to improve public understanding of risk and encourage mitigation efforts in Washington State.
Daniel graduated from Oregon State University with a Masters in Geology. He has worked with the Washington Geological Survey since 2013 and joined the Tsunami Hazards Program in 2016. He is a Licensed Geologist and Engineering Geologist by the state of Washington.
