Kramer, Casey
Casey Kramer is the Principal Engineer and owner of Natural Waters, LLC in Olympia, WA. Casey’s background is in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, sediment transport, scour, river engineering and fish passage while specializing in hydraulic design of transportation facilities. He was previously the State Hydraulic Engineer for the Washington State Department of Transportation and has served as a technical expert for many projects around the nation on assessing vulnerability of transportation assets from a changing climate and extreme events. Casey is currently serving on a National Academies of Sciences Research Panel focusing on developing methods to apply climate change information to hydrologic and hydraulic design of transportation infrastructure. Casey obtained his B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Washington State University and his M.S. in Hydraulic Engineering from the Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research at the University of Iowa. Casey is a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Washington, California, Alaska, Oregon, Montana and Hawaii.
