Hannah is a civil engineer with eight years of experience in flood risk analysis and mitigation. As an engineer at FEMA Region 10, she is responsible for overseeing floodplain analyses and mapping projects for communities in the National Flood Insurance Program. Prior to joining FEMA, Hannah worked as a consultant at Environmental Science Associates where she designed coastal restoration projects, conducted climate change assessments, and led flooding vulnerability studies. Hannah is particularly interested in marine shoreline hazards on the West Coast. She would be happy to chat with you about hydrology, hydrodynamics, geomorphology, sustainable floodplains and shoreline management, quantifying risk, and climate change.

Hannah earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Washington in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a Master’s Degree from Stanford in Environmental Fluid Mechanics. Hannah is a registered professional civil engineer in the state of Washington.
