Chris Thomas is a Senior Ports & Coastal Specialist at Baird & Associates, based in Gig Harbor, Washington. Chris has a technical background in coastal science, with experience in hydrodynamic, wave and sediment transport modelling, and expertise in nearshore metocean analysis, coastal structures, dredging and port and terminal layouts. Over his career he has applied this knowledge internationally and across the USA and is experienced in managing and delivering projects in the Pacific Northwest. He is passionate about ensuring responsible development of coastal infrastructure, and in understanding how future climate change will impact coastal communities and existing coastal developments. Chris has a Master of Science in Engineering in the Coastal Environment, and Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Geography.
