Worrell, Nicolette
Nicolette is a research scientist with the Climate Impacts Group and the Northwest Climate Resilience Collaborative. Her background is cross disciplinary between climate science, communications and storytelling, and community engagement. Nicolette has worked closely with several frontline and Indigenous communities in the Pacific Northwest and Arctic Alaska which has informed the way she engages with the Land, community and research. Through her role at Climate Impacts Group, Nicolette hopes to provide resources around climate change adaptation, education, and land and water protection with community needs at the center.
Nicolette received their Masters of Marine Affairs from UW’s School of Marine and Environmental affairs. She also holds a bachelor’s in marine science with a focus in oceanography from Jacksonville University.
